According to one explanation its name is derived from IOULIATIKO - literally of july- since the grape ripens in that month. Its high levels of alcohol low and soft tannins leave the palate full and an intense smell on the nose. It is distinctively perfumed with fruit and sweet spices. Enjoy it with lamb, mousaka and pork dishes.
